QUICK ACCESS FEATURES FOR BUSY RETAIL ENVIRONMENT
E POS III has many quick access features. ALT F1 will display a POS menu of quick access features. All quick access features will require password if password protection is turned on.
QUICK INVENTORY CHECK FROM POS SALES ID FIELD
To check if product is in the inventory from the POS Sales ID field, use ALT F5 key combination. This will pop-up the product lookup screen.
FASTER CASH TRANSACTION PROCESSING
The last sales person remains logged in for faster cash transaction processing. Cash transaction requires only one keystroke - F8.
PAY ON LAYAWAY FROM POS SCREEN
You can pay on an existing Layaway without having to exit the POS screen. ALT L will pop-up the Outstanding Layaways screen, and all outstanding layaways will display.
PAY ON CHARGE ACCOUNT FROM POS SCREEN
You can pay on a Charge Account without having to exit the POS screen. ALT H will pop-up the Charge Account screen. You can process a payment form here using the F8 key.
QUICK PRODUCT EDIT
You can enter product quickly by adding only product code, description and price. All other parameters are bypassed. This speeds up inventory creation or new product entry by 300%.
ADD UPC OR BARCODE TO AN EXISTING PRODUCT
You can mow add a UPC code or barcode to an already existing product, without having to recreate the product or changing the product code.
QUICK EXIT TO DOS
You can exit to DOS via the ALT X key combination. If password protection is turned on, exiting to DOS requires Level 4 password.
EXITING POS SCREEN TO MAIN MENU IS PASSWORD PROTECTED
If password protection is turned on, exiting to MAIN MENU requires Level 2 password.
REPRINT INVOICE FROM POS SCREEN
To reprint the last invoice or when the printer was not ready, ALT P will bring up the Print Invoice screen and F10 will reprint the invoice you choose. The cursor will rest on the last invoice processed to allow for quick printing of a second invoice.
PRICE OVERRIDE
The selling price of a product set in the product database, can be changed on the fly in the POS screen. Simply type in the new price when the cursor is sitting on price field. There are three other methods to override the set selling price of any product: Global Discount, Percent Discount and Price Table.
The amount of discount allowed can be controlled by turning on the Sales Person Control under Edit Defaults, and also assigning the percentage discount allowed in the Edit Sales Person screen.
CHECK THE ORIGINAL PRICE OF AN ITEM
To check if a product was discounted, position the cursor in the price field and press F5. This will pop-up the price lookup screen displaying the original price of an item.
PASSWORD PROTECTION FOR INVOICE EDITING
Edit Invoice F9 is password protected. If password protection is turned on, a Level 3 password is required to edit invoices.
DIFFERENT SHIP TO IN POs
The purchase order module allows Ship To address to be different from Invoice Address.
ENHANCED PRINTER SUPPORT
E POS III supports POS printers. Up to ten special printer codes can be entered.
RETURN MERCHANDISE TO SUPPLIERS
E POS III has an RMA module. RMA works in a similar manner to Purchase Order, except the returned merchandise is removed from stock.
DEBIT CARD PAYMENT
The payment screen includes payment by Debit Card. The End of Day report reports Debit Card payments as a separate entry from Cash payments.
ALL CUSTOMERS HAVE A CREDIT LIMIT FOR CHARGE ACCOUNTS
All customers have a credit limit. By default this limit is set to zero amount. If you do not authorise a customer for credit, an error message will display warning the checkout clerk that this customer has no credit limit. You can override this message if you respond Yes to the question "Authorise Credit?". If password protection is turned on, overriding the credit limit requires Level 2 password.
CUSTOMER BUYING HISTORY
New report has been added to help track the customer's buying habits.
PREPRINTED INVOICE FORMS
Three (3) sizes, (8.5x11, 8.5x7 and 8.5x5) of pre-printed invoice forms are now supported.
300% FASTER END PERIOD CLOSING
The End Period closing has been redesigned for 300% speed improvement. Now even very large databases are processed in minutes.
